OFFICIAL: Thanh Hoa Welcomes 4 New Signings After Escaping FIFA Ban

Dong A Thanh Hoa officially announced a series of new signings for the new season, notably Amar Catic. The young, ambitious squad promises to create a highly competitive lineup.

Thanh Hoa Club has completed the payment of approximately 3 billion VND as required by FIFA, thereby officially lifting the transfer ban and paving the way for squad reinforcement ahead of a crucial phase of the season.

The ban was imposed after FIFA received complaints from several former foreign players of the club. Fulfilling the financial obligation was a mandatory condition for the club to register new players. Amid a severe squad shortage, which once forced Thanh Hoa to use goalkeeper Y Eli Nie as a forward to field a full team, the decision to pay the fine is seen as a vital move.

Immediately after completing the procedures, Thanh Hoa activated four new contracts. Most notably is forward Amar Catic, a player holding dual citizenship of Bosnia & Herzegovina and the Netherlands. Born in 1999, standing 1.78m tall, Catic's strengths lie on the right wing; he has played for the Bosnia & Herzegovina U21 team and was valued at around 250,000 euros by Transfermarkt in October 2025. He is expected to enhance the team's speed and attacking penetration.

Alongside this foreign signing, Thanh Hoa added three domestic players: Le Van Hung, Nguyen Huu Dung, and Le Van Hoan. Among them, Huu Dung is an experienced name, having participated in the 2016 AFC U23 Championship and enjoyed a successful stint with the Thanh-based club before moving to Da Nang. His return is anticipated to bring steel and composure to the midfield.

The two young players, Van Hung and Van Hoan, are products of the club's academy and have spent considerable time training with the first team. Their promotion reflects a strategy of combining quality foreign additions with opportunities for internal resources.

All four new signings are now ready for the upcoming away match at Lach Tray Stadium against Hai Phong FC. Thanh Hoa is racing against time to finalize registration procedures, aiming to strengthen the squad and make a push in the remaining stages of the season.
